He has been a litigator since he qualified in 1979 and has been a Partner since 1985. He specialises in civil litigation and he and his team conduct a wide range of litigation from personal injury to land / property disputes; from personal and business disputes to landlord and tenant including business lease renewals and professional negligence claims.
David lives in Colchester and is married with two children and became Managing Partner in 2009.
He is a former Round Tabler; now an active Rotarian and also a business mentor to students at a local secondary school.
Paul joined Cunningtons in 1986, after a period in general practice. His flare for residential conveyancing and ability to devise and develop working systems, made him the ideal person to oversee the machinery and processes necessary to implement the Direct Dial Conveyancing® product, which Cunningtons had decided to promote. Paul now oversees the IT version of this.
As one of the Managing Partners, Paul is also jointly responsible for the marketing, staffing and office infrastructure of Cunningtons, and in particular shares responsibility for the development of relationships with external organisations.
Paul has held the Office of President of the Southend & District Law Society and has been, for a number of years, its Honorary Secretary.On the domestic front, Paul is married with 3 children, a keen sportsman; Sunday school teacher, and violinist - regularly playing in two orchestras, including the Essex Symphony Orchestra, of which the firm is a patron.
John qualified as a solicitor in January 1980 and joined Cunningtons in October 1994 in order to open the Firm's Ilford Office. He became a Partner in the firm in May 1996.
John is very familiar with the North East London and Essex area having spent his entire working life there dealing with mainly with non-contentious matters including principally residential conveyancing.
He is married and lives in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire with his wife who is a Primary Head Teacher. His interests include music, walking and gardening.
Johanna attended the College of Law in Chester having passed her Law Degree with honours. She was then articled to a firm in Grays in Essex and was admitted as a of Solicitor in January 1987.
Johanna first joined Cunningtons as an assistant solicitor in 1993 and became a Partner in 1997.
Johanna has dealings with a mixed case load of residential and commercial Conveyancing.
Aymer Hutton is the partner in charge of the firm's Solihull office. Aymer specialises in residential conveyancing.
Aymer qualified as a solicitor in 1990. He joined Cunningtons in 1999 from a general practice in a Warwickshire county town. Aymer became a partner of Cunningtons in 2001.
Aymer is married with two children.
Jason Bradshaw is the Partner responsible for the firm's Hove Office, which he opened in January 2004. He specialises in residential Conveyancing.
Jason joined Cunningtons in 1997 as a trainee solicitor and qualified in 1999. He became a Partner with the firm in May 2002. His focus within Cunningtons has been on the delivery and maintenance of the high level of service clients expect in today's consumer-led society. He has built up an excellent reputation within his existing client base and is proud that more than 50% of new files opened at Cunningtons' Hove office are satisfied clients returning with further instructions, or client recommendations.
Outside of the office, Jason is married with two children, a keen fencer and golfer.
Karen went to Southampton to study law in 1994 and achieved a 2:2 in 1997. During this time she won a competition in The Times in which she had to write a piece on the 'Role of Juries in Fraud Trials' which enabled her to go to Sheffield for work experience in Irwin Mitchell. She then studied at Anglia Polytechnic for a further year for her Legal Practice course in 1998. After passing these final exams, Karen secured a position with Cunningtons at the Colchester office in November 1998 but moved to the Wickford office to carry out her training contract. Karen qualified in November 2001 and was made office manager, a role she has fulfilled ever since. Finally, in November 2004, she was made a salaried partner.
In her spare time Karen enjoys crosswords and reading thriller books. She joined MENSA in 1998 and attends meetings and enjoys puzzle solving. Karen lives in a small village on the River Crouch and regularly takes her dog out for long walks on the country parks and around the river. Karen is also part of a group of people that often get together to socialise and participate in local events. Recently, they entered a float in their local carnival and won first prize in the humourous category.
Natasha joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 1996 and qualified in 1998, working in residential conveyancing until 2000, when she left the firm following the birth of her second child. Following a further addition to her family in 2003, Natasha returned to the firm as the Client Relations solicitor, resolving any issues or complaints that may arise and liaising with the Law Society where applicable.
Natasha is also the Money Laundering Reporting Officer for the firm.
Natasha is Chair of Colchester and Tendring Woman's Refuge and attends monthly meetings and training days in respect to all aspects of the management and running of the Refuge.
On the domestic front Natasha is married with three children and is a qualified Reiki practitioner.
Fiona joined Cunningtons in July 2001 as a paralegal and became a trainee Solicitor in January 2002. She qualified as a Solicitor in January 2004. She became a Partner in the firm in January 2007. Specialising in conveyancing Fiona is married and is currently on Maternity leave.
